Stop Asking If God Is Speaking and Ask This Instead

Hey, so good to see you even though I can't see you. Welcome back to Bible study with the DeafBlind Potter. I am so glad you are here today. In this week's study, we are diving into Luke 8:1-15, the Parable of the Sower. Jesus tells a story about a farmer scattering seed, and that seed lands in four very different places. But here is what I want you to understand before we go any further: this is not a farming lesson. This is a heart lesson. Jesus is asking every single one of us a question we cannot avoid. What type of soil are you? Just like clay has to be prepared before a potter can shape it, our hearts have to be in the right condition before God's word can take root and grow. Hard clay cannot be shaped. Clay full of rocks will crack. And clay full of junk will never center on the wheel. The condition of the clay matters, and Jesus says the condition of your heart matters too. In this study, we are going to walk through all four soils together. I am going to get personal and share some things from my own journey that were not easy to face. But I believe that if you lean in today, God has something real to say to you. You have ears to hear.
