When You Feel Like You Have Nothing to Offer God

Have you ever looked at someone else and thought, "If I only had what they had, then God could really use me"? I know that feeling well. But today's Bible study from Luke 9 stopped me in my tracks, and honestly, it convicted me deeply. The disciples had already been given authority over demons. Jesus had already sent them out with power. Yet when a desperate father brought his suffering son to them, they stood there defeated, acting like they had nothing. The problem was not that Jesus failed to equip them. The problem was that they were not walking in what he had already given them. And I had to ask myself, how often do I do the same thing? For years, I stepped away from pottery and chased my own plans in my own strength. God had already placed something unique in my hands, and I was ignoring it. Today, as this video goes live, I will be standing in front of over 10,000 teenagers with my potter wheel, sharing the good potter message. I could not do that in my own strength. When I surrender the gift back to the one who gave it, that is when it truly comes alive. Gift without dependence becomes pride, and I am guilty of that. So here is my question for you today. The disciples did not either. Your job is simply to trust him and take the next step. He is not limited by what you lack.
