God Doesn't Wait for You to Get It Together

Just because something broke doesn't mean God is done.
In Luke 7:11–17, Jesus walks into a funeral. A widow has just lost her only son, the last person she had left. She didn't ask for help. She didn't pray the right prayer. She didn't have anything left to offer.
And Jesus moved toward her anyway.
Before she said a word. Before she even knew He was there.
That's the kind of God we serve. He doesn't wait for you to get it together before He moves toward you. He walks straight into the hardest moment of your life and interrupts it.
In this study we walk through what this passage reveals:
→ Jesus sees your pain before anyone else even knows how to talk about it — His heart went out to her before she asked for a single thing. He sees you the same way right now.
→ Most people move away from broken places. Jesus moves toward them — Touching a dead body made someone ceremonially unclean. Jesus did it anyway. He has never been afraid of your dead places.
→ The thing that felt like the end of your story isn't — This miracle didn't just restore one life. It pointed an entire crowd back to God and reminded them He had not abandoned His people. He hasn't abandoned you either.
In this episode, Kelvin shares two of the most raw moments of his life — the afternoon in a college cafeteria when he tripped over a chair and realized for the first time that he truly couldn't see, and the twelve times he walked into the mountains, cursed at God, and told Him he was done.
And what happened on that twelfth time?
