4 Self-Defeating Thoughts Many Men Have And what you can do about them.

01:53 "I will never be good enough so why try?"
05:25 "I am tired and confused, I just don't know what to do?"
08:33 "I am too overwhelmed, I'll address it later."
11:35 "I hope this will just go away, so I don't have to deal with it."
ONE | "I will never be good enough so why try?"
1. Avoid cycling in secret self-pity.
2. Own your problems.
3. Move through emotional gridlock.
4. Live in your new identity in Christ.
Memorize this: Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.—2 Corinthians 5:17
TWO | "I am tired and confused, I just don't know what to do?"
1. Clarify the capability gap.
2. Ask someone to mentor you.
3. Define simple and measurable goals.
4. Mark progress toward the goals.
5. Make adjustments and trust God's sovereignty.
Memorize this: The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.—Proverbs 1:7
THREE | "I am too overwhelmed, I'll address it later."
1. Just start doing something
2. Go public with your decision to do something
3. Be willing to get accountability
4. Be transparent with others
Memorize this: Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time because the days are evil.—Ephesians 5:15
FOUR | "I hope this will just go away, so I don't have to deal with it."
1. Identify what you are avoiding and why you are avoiding it.
2. Write down the future ramifications of non-responsibility.
3. Use the phrase "I'm Sorry" or "I'm Angry" and open up the dialogue.
4. Seek reconciliation in relationships
5. Take one step at a time
Memorize this: Do not let the sun go down on your anger, and give no opportunity to the devil.—Ephesians 4:27
