https://youtu.be/XlI8vVkTQcQ The gospel is fundamentally about "believing loyalty"—a loyal, faithful belief in the one true God who became incarnate in Jesus Christ, died on the cross for sin, and rose again. This loyal belief, not personal performance or ritual obedience, is the sole means of salvation, as affirmed in John 14:6, where Jesus declares Himself the only way to the Father. Believing loyalty means trusting that God is who He says He is, embracing His covenant love, and committing to worship no other gods. Biblical examples like Naaman and the widow of Zarephath illustrate that salvation is not about keeping the law perfectly but about unwavering loyalty to Yahweh alone. Though Christians face challenges in sharing the gospel, the task is not impossible or a matter of numbers but is hindered by fragmentation within the church and failure to truly live out the unity, justice, and loyalty God desires. The gospel calls believers to embody this loyalty, becoming a reflection of God’s presence and a community that draws others by their faithful witness, demonstrating the reality of salvation through steadfast belief and allegiance rather than personal perfection. This loyal faith is what secures salvation, even amid personal failure, for it aligns with God's covenantal steadfast love (ḥésed) rather than human merit. Salvation and true belief mean joining God’s family through this faithful loyalty, which God honours despite human imperfection. This is the heart of the gospel message and the foundation of Christian life and witness. #Gospel #Christianity #Faith #Salvation #Bible #Jesus #Discipleship #Truth #BelievingLoyalty #MichaelHeiser
