PART TEN: Mystical Presence in Flesh Revealed In this episode of St.Aub, we begin a new section of the Godward journey by exploring the outward evidence of God’s indwelling presence. Union with God is deeply personal and mystical, but it isn’t meant to remain hidden. If Christ truly dwells within us, His presence should gradually become visible in our attitudes, choices, relationships, and the way we live. Drawing from Scripture, the Desert Fathers and Mothers, and the wisdom of the early Church, St.Aub returns to the ancient paths of Christian spiritual formation. Jesus reminds us that a healthy spiritual life bears recognizable fruit. The Beatitudes describe a life marked by humility, mercy, purity, righteousness, and peace, while Paul describes the fruit of the Spirit as love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. But this transformation isn't something we accomplish through willpower alone. Jesus gives us the image of the vine and the branches: lasting spiritual fruit grows from abiding in Him. As our roots grow deeper in Christ, His indwelling presence begins to transform us from within—and sometimes that transformation involves the difficult but necessary work of pruning. This episode also explores Jesus' parable of the sower and the seed. What kind of soil is your soul becoming? Are the cares of the world choking your spiritual life, or are you cultivating good soil where God's Word can take root and bear fruit?
