“If You Are Willing, You Can Make Me Clean" | Luke 5:12-16

In this Bible study from Luke 5:12–16, we look at the powerful moment when a man with leprosy approaches Jesus and asks a bold question: “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.” Leprosy made a person an outcast. They were forced to live outside the community and were considered unclean. Yet this man believed that Jesus had the power to heal him. Jesus does something shocking—He reaches out and touches the man. And then He says: “I am willing. Be clean.” Immediately the leprosy leaves him. In this study, we explore: • The incredible faith of the man who approached Jesus • Why Jesus told him not to tell anyone • What the law required after healing • And why Jesus often withdrew to lonely places to pray This passage reminds us that Jesus is not only powerful enough to heal—He is willing.
