"For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed. Therefore, let us keep the Festival" (1 Cor 5:7-8). The Apostle Paul expects us to be well-versed in the OT theology of Passover to understand the richness of what we have in Christ! And where do we learn of such great salvation and deliverance? In the book of Exodus, where God so graciously provided a way for His people to escape from His judgment that was surely coming upon His enemies in the obstinacy of their rebellious hearts. If ever there was a time when the Israelites needed to renew their dedication to God, it would be at Passover. According to Exodus 4:22, Israel was God's firstborn son, so the time of the Passover with its emphasis upon the firstborn was a marvelous occasion to think about the meaning of a covenant relationship. Join us tonight for our 2nd overview lesson in Exodus!
