Patiently Wait for the Lord's Coming-James 5:7-11

Charles Spurgeon exclaimed, "The best remedy for affliction is submitting to providence. What can't be cured must be endured." With such a statement he was not glibly calling for a hopeless resignation to circumstances, but a hopeful and patient endurance until all is made right at Christ's return. The promise of the Redeemer's return is providentially calculated to develop the Christian grace of patience. 'Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord...be patient...for the coming of the Lord is near' (Jas 5:7-8). Such words were addressed to saints who were poor in this world's goods and even groaning under the oppression of unrighteous employers. How timely James' words of encouragement are for today's saint as we patiently wait our Lord's soon return! Join us this coming Lord's Day for "Patiently Wait for the Lord's Coming" (Jas 5:7-11).
