Solus Christus: An Exclusive Christ in an Inclusive Age

This coming Lord’s Day is Reformation Sunday 2023! Solus Christus expresses the biblical conviction that there is “one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus” (1 Tim 2:5) and that therefore “there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved” (Acrs 4:12). Christ’s identity is absolutely exclusive and His work entirely sufficient! We must reaffirm our salvation is accomplished by the mediatorial work of the historical Christ alone, His sinless life and substitutionary atonement alone are sufficient for our justification and reconciliation to the Father.
