The New Covenant Lawgiver-Matthew 5:17-20

C. H. Spurgeon waxes eloquent about the imputed righteousness of Christ saying, "The boundless deservings of the Lord Jesus are set to your account, and your terrible demerits are thereby neutralized once for all." In other words, it takes the full righteousness of Him who fulfilled all righteousness to remove all demerit from those He credits it to by faith. It is a superior righteousness to which no man has ever attained. Far from loosening or pulling down God's law, Jesus filled it full with all the color, beauty, detail and depth God intended. He alone is the fulfillment, who delivers what all of redemptive history had been working up to. Join us Sunday as we look into "Jesus, The New Covenant Lawgiver" (Matt 5:17-20).
