The Personality of Love-1 Cor 13

Wednesday is another Hallmark holiday, that of Valentines or Lover's Day. Even if you do not have a significant other, we all need to learn more of this biblical doctrine & its daily application towards God and man! Spurgeon clarified, "We shall not long have love to man if we do not first and chiefly cultivate love to God." Jesus summarized the requirements in the Law that believers are to 'love the LORD your God with all your mind, and with all your strength...and love your neighbor as yourself' (Mk 12:30-31). We can grow and learn to excel still more in the vertical and horizontal expressions of true biblical love, especially as seen in 'The Love Chapter' of 1 Corinthians 13.
