Spurgeon cautioned, "Mark then, Christian, Jesus does not suffer so as to exclude your suffering. He bears a cross, not that you may escape it, but that you may endure it. Christ exempts you from sin, but not from sorrow. Remember that, and expect to suffer." In that same vain Paul exhorts believers to not only recognize suffering as part and parcel of life in this fallen and sinful world, but to also be encouraged that the sufferings of this life are not even to be compared with the glory of the life to come in God's presence. Consider joining us for our study on suffering and glory. Be encouraged as study "Life in the Spirit, pt5" (Romans 8:17-18).
