God's Gospel Gift of Christian Fellowship

The beloved apostle John wrote his 1st epistle to give the genuine believer complete joy (1 Jn 1:4) and that joy is achieved as one walks in the light. As he fellowships in eternal life (v3) he also fellowships with fellow participants in the cleansing blood of Jesus (v7). That is why Spurgeon retorted, "Some Christians try to go to heaven alone, in solitude; but believers are not compared to bears, or lions, or other animals that wander alone; but those who belong to Christ are sheep in this respect, that they love to get together. Sheep go in flocks, and so do God's people." Sunday as we gather around the Lord's Table together, we will share a biblical reminder of "God's Gospel Gift of Christian Fellowship."
