The Greatest Invitation to Prayer-Lk 11:5-13

In a letter he wrote in 1935 to someone discouraged over unanswered prayer, G. Campbell Morgan wrote this word of perspective & encouragement, "When you say that your prayers seem to be quite useless you certainly are wrong. We have to remember that in prayer we talk quite freely to our Father. It may be that we ask for things that we do not receive, but in such cases we have to rest in the assurance that He who knoweth all things withholds in love. The secret of peace is never to be found by considering our own hearts, but by trusting ourselves completely to the eternal and almighty Love which never breaks down." We persist in prayer, not only out of obedient obligation to ask, seek, & knock, but because we are motivated to talk to Him who only gives good gifts! He will give us as much as we need, because our Heavenly Father only gives good gifts to His children.
