Does “on your behalf” mean “instead of,” or “in your place”?
Leviticus 1:4 says
You are to lay your hand on the head of the burnt offering, and it will be accepted on your behalf
But Leviticus 23:11 says
He is to wave the sheaf before the LORD so it will be accepted on your behalf
