If God Doesn’t Dwell in Unclean Places, How can He live in us? The temple had to be regularly cleansed. Priests made atonement, offered sacrifices, and sprinkled blood, all to make sure God’s dwelling space was kept clean. One thing we know for sure, is that God does not dwell in unclean spaces. So, what the heck has happened that Paul can say “Don’t you know that you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? Turns out, we are the temple, and God does dwell in us.
