Why did the high priest wear pomegranates all around the hem of his robe? (Exo 28:33) And why were pomegranates engraved on the pillars of the temple? (1Ki 7:18) Why did ancient Assyrians and Persians associate pomegranates with eternal life and fertility? This is a revisit from a comment I made in my video on Priestly Garments.
