I Got ‘Be Holy’ Wrong — and Became an Angry Dad
Leviticus is Fun

I misunderstood “Be holy, for I am holy” and it shaped the kind of father I became.
In this video I reflect on God’s prompt to “Be holy as I am holy” from Leviticus 11.
I get pretty personal; and talk about how men like Jonathan Edwards, John Piper, John Macarthur, and RC Sproul shaped my view of God’s character, and how didn’t just affect my theology — it shaped the kind of father I became.
I discuss how a distorted picture of God’s character led me to become an angry dad, but how taking Jesus seriously as the revelation of the Father changed everything.
This is the conclusion to Leviticus 11, and the conclusion to 2025.
Happy New Year!
