In 722 BC the northern kingdom fell and ten of Israel's twelve tribes were deported by Assyria. Then the records go silent. This documentary follows the question across three thousand years: what the archaeology shows, what genetics can and cannot prove, and which communities today have a credible claim.
📖 In this video, you will uncover:
✅ The division of the kingdom, and the sin of Jeroboam (1 Kings 12)
✅ The Assyrian deportation policy, and why it was designed to erase identity
✅ Beta Israel of Ethiopia, and the 1973 ruling recognising them as descendants of Dan
✅ The Lemba of southern Africa, and the Cohen modal haplotype found among them
✅ The Bnei Menashe of northeast India, and why they required formal conversion
✅ Ezekiel's two sticks, and the lists of Revelation 7
📜 A NOTE ON THE EVIDENCE
The video is careful to separate claims with support from claims without it. British Israelism, the Anglo-Israel theory, and the genetic claims of the Book of Mormon have all been tested and are not supported by DNA evidence, and the video says so plainly. The Lemba genetic findings are peer-reviewed. Where a claim rests on oral tradition rather than genetics, that distinction is stated.
📜 ON REVELATION 7
The tribal list in Revelation 7 omits Dan, which the video notes. It is worth adding that Ephraim is also absent, with Joseph and Manasseh named instead, so there are two omissions rather than one.
