The Hebrew text of Jonah chapter 2 hides something most people have never noticed. Jonah did not say he was in the belly of the fish. He said he was in the belly of SHEOL the realm of the dead. And the word he used for “pit” is the very same word Peter quoted to prove the resurrection of Christ. Coincidence? Or divine design?
