Livestock guardian dogs don’t attack everything that moves. They’re calm, observant, and decisive — only when there’s a real threat. That’s the model Scripture gives us. Yes, we are sheep. But some men are called to be sheepdogs — to discern danger, protect the vulnerable, and move when others freeze. Discernment isn’t aggression. It’s love with a backbone.
