Your Anger Has a Name. And It's Not What the Therapists Are Calling It.

They told you your anger was the problem. They were wrong. There's a Greek word your therapist has never used with you.
In late 2025, the American Psychological Association published an article identifying male anger as a "rigid gender norm" — a product of harmful conditioning that needed to be managed, medicated, and suppressed. They never asked what the anger was pointing at.
But the New Testament has two completely different words for anger. The first — thymos — is hot, impulsive, destructive. That's the one they've been warning you about for 30 years. The second — orge — is settled, purposeful, and aimed at injustice. That's the one they never told you about.
In Mark 3, Jesus looks at the Pharisees in anger. That word is orge. Sinless. Perfect. Feeling something so real the writers had one word for it. In Ephesians 4:26, Paul doesn't say "avoid being angry." He says be angry.
So the real question isn't whether your anger is a problem. The question is whether it's aimed at the right target.
