“Doubting Thomas.” Two words that have followed a man for two thousand years. But what if the label is wrong? In this video we take a closer look at Thomas, one of the most misunderstood figures in the Christian story. The moment that earned him the title “Doubting Thomas” is usually treated as a warning about skepticism. But when we look more carefully at the text, something different emerges. Thomas wasn’t rejecting belief. He was refusing to pretend to a certainty he hadn’t actually encountered. And when Christ appears, he doesn’t rebuke Thomas for asking. He meets the question directly.
