Where is the preserved Word of God? We've got him!

Because of the confusion in the last three weeks surrounding the public admissions by Muslim scholars conceding that the Qur'an is not as preserved as they had previously thought, many have been coming to Jay to ask him to explain it all. And that is what Jay does in this video, unpacking in just under an hour not only what the scholars said, but what they didn't say, and pointing out the very real debate going on between Muslim apologists for the traditional view of Islam which represents around 99% of the Muslim World (i.e. Mohammed Hijab and Adnan Rashid), and those Western academic Muslim scholars (i.e. Dr Shabir Ally and Yasir Qadhi), who represent only perhaps 1% of the Muslim world, at least on this issue. Jay notes that the academics would like us to remain focused solely on the much later 8th and 9th century Qira'at question, because they can use it to then deflect us from the much more problematic and earlier 7th and 8th century Rasm question (i.e. the skeletal, or consonantal texts of the earliest Qur'anic manuscripts). Adnan Rashid, accidentally moved us into that question last week, which permitted us to begin the more damaging analysis of the consonantal Rasm changes, which will create an even larger 'crisis of faith' for Yasir Qadhi, once he finds out. Dr Dan Brubaker, the only scholar who has done any real work in this area, has now created his own YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IMa5tqfdNzw) where he is beginning to highlight some of the over 4,000 Rasm variants he has tabulated from the earliest Qur'anic manuscripts, making all of our jobs a whole lot easier. Please go to his channel, watch the videos he has there, and then subscribe. As Christians, we don't claim that our Bible is eternal, as Muslim claim about their Qur'an. Nor do we claim that our Bible was 'sent down', as Muslim say their Qur'an was. We don't even claim that we have a textual history of the Bible going right back to the original text, as Muslims do, nor that the Bible is without changes, as Muslims have always done. In the last 3 weeks, however, all four of the Muslim claims concerning the preservation of their Qur'an have been pretty much destroyed, leaving everyone wondering whether there really is any perfectly preserved 'Word of God' anymore? And the answer is, Yes, there is. That's because our Bible isn't the only 'Word of God' which we have. We have a much bigger and better Word of God, also known as the 'Logos', found in John chapter 1; and his name is Jesus Christ. Jesus interestingly, is not only eternal, but He was sent down, is always complete, and has never changed. So, the four areas which the Muslims are looking for in their 'Word of God' they no longer have, but we do...and His name is Jesus Christ! We have what they are looking for.
