Jim & Jay prove that without Mecca on any early maps, it destroys any historical credibility!

Dr Jim is a cartographer, who has studied the archaic maps of the Middle East, and in particular the maps which followed the research of the Arabian peninsula by the historian Ptolemy in the 2nd century AD. Dr Jim brought down some of the maps from Ptolemy's research to show that though they listed all of the towns, rivers and mountains of the peninsula, nowhere was Mecca listed. Mecca is probably the most important city in Islam, since that was where, according to Surah 7:24, Eve and Adam were thrown down to from the Garden of Eden, situated in space. This suggests that Mecca would therefore be the oldest city on earth. In Surah 21:51-71 Abraham was in Mecca (according to Muslims) rebuilding the 'Masjid al Haram' (the forbidden place of bowing), which they claim was the Kabbah. If that was so, then Mecca had to have existed in the 19th century BC, and millions of pilgrims would have known about it and spoken or written about it. Yet, we can't find any documentation for the city of Mecca until 741 AD, and it's not on any map until the 10th century. Jim also pointed to the fact that the maps which do exist in the 7th century are not even centered in the area of Mecca, known as the Hijaz, but are centered much further north. Yet, if Mecca was so important it would be at the very center of any map. All these facts suggest pretty clearly that Mecca was created as an 'after-thought', which damages the authority of Mecca historically. So far, Muslims haven't been able to support any historical evidence for their most holy city.
