He gives us 5 do’s and 3 do not’s of shepherding in these two short verses. 5 Ways to Shepherd: 1. Do—Lead by giving oversight. 2. Do—Lead from a willing motive. 3. Do—Lead by eagerly being focused on others. 4. Do—Lead by guiding gently. 5. Do—Lead by example. 3 Ways to Not Shepherd: 1. Do Not—Lead under obligation. 2. Do Not—Lead for personal gain. 3. Do Not—Lead to control.
