Does Hatun's Cartoon help or hinder us asks Spencer?

Was Hatun's T-shirt helpful or not for the Gospel, or even for the freedom of speech? Hatun Tash, last Sunday, wore a T-shirt with a cartoon of Muhammad at Speaker's Corner which was not only provocative to Muslims, but ironically prophetic for her. It bore a picture of Muhammad as a child, with a sword in his hand, and a number of severed heads at his feet, pointing to a pen and crying "I'm so exceptionally offended by this bigot for drawing me"! Right on cue the Muslims felt offended, became agitated, and starting bullying her, even threatening her until finally the police came and arrested her and carted her off for 'breaching the peace', but not the Muslim bullies. The vast majority of those who have responded have been appalled by the police and very supportive of Hatun, but there were a number of Christians who have questioned the wisdom of Hatun's actions, so we asked Robert Spencer to react to their questions, since he is an expert on offending Muslims, and has been vilified by Christians for years for doing so. It didn't take him long to point out that we must stand up to bullies and not fear them, nor run away from them, and certainly not acquiesce to them, as the Metropolitan police did on Sunday. What's more, he provided Biblical support for Hatun's actions, both in Elijah's example against the prophets of Baal (1 Kings 18), as well as in Christ's commissioning of the 12 disciples in Matthew 10. Indeed, rather than criticizing Hatun, both Spencer and Jay believe that we should be supporting her and praying for her safety. She is doing what many of us either can't do, or refuse to do, out of fear.
