To know whether Muhammad Existed, just read the BOOKS, Spencer suggests!

Over the last few weeks there have been a number of videos which have been uploaded by Christians on to their YouTube channels attacking anyone who suggests that the Muhammad of Islam didn't exist (jokingly known as "No-Mos"). These videos have become quite popular amongst many of those who follow them (let's jokingly call them "Yes-Mos"). Robert Spencer is one of the best recognized proponents of the 'No-Mo' group, so much so that he has written 2-3 books on the subject over the last 15 years. In this video he suggests that those who believe that the Muhammad of Islam did exist (the "Yes-Mos") might do well to look at the wealth of literature which has been written on the subject, going all the way back to the 19th century. In fact, there are a plethora of books written on this subject, six of which he highlights in this video. So, this is not something new, nor is it out in "Left field", and therefore, it should not be dangerous for us to discuss it, let alone support it. Videos and people's opinions in long 5 - 7 hour live-streams may sway some people of his existence, but the better route to understand this controversy, Spencer believes, is to take a look at the literature on the subject first, and then come to a more reasoned opinion.
