Will the Saudi's Prince be the 'Reformer' Islam needs?

So, here's the million dollar question: Will the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia (Muhammad bin Salman) be the 'Martin Luther' of Islam? Will he bring a reformation to Islam in the 21st century just as Luther did for Christianity in the 16th century?
Most Muslims that I know are sick and tired of their religion being hijacked and tarnished by the violent extremists on almost a weekly basis, and are fed up with having to constantly defend that which they believe is not defensible. The Islam displayed constantly in our press is not the Islam they know or believe in at all.
They have been waiting for someone to introduce an Islam they recognize, which is not only viable for the 21st century, but an Islam which represents them, and an Islam which they can stand behind and be proud of.
Perhaps MBS is that man, a man who can bring Islam into the 21st century and reform it as everyone would like to see happen!
But how will the other Muslims react? What about those Muslims who demand that all Muslims return to the model of their prophet Muhammad whom they believe lived in the 7th century, and whom they believe is the best model for today, and any day? They may not be the most numerous, but they certainly have the loudest voices and consequently, as a result, are the Islam we in the West believe is the true Islam, because they are the only ones we hear, or pay attention to, out of fear.
Nonetheless, whether they do represent true Islam or not, what will they do?
Will they let MBS jettison the 90% irrelevant areas of their prized Islamic Traditions, and turn his back on the 'esteemed' Wahhabi Movement, a movement which has been the backbone and given Saudi Arabia its theological credibility for over 400 years?
Many believe that he has no chance, that he will either be assassinated, or be dethroned, because he is just one man. But remember, Martin Luther was only just one man as well, and look what he, a mere priest, did against a much bigger Catholic church back in the 16th century.
MBS, as a contrast, has much more power behind him. He is the guardian of the holy places, and has an amazing building program which is already almost 50% finished, and thus is beginning to accomplish something no one has ever done for the majority of Muslims; that is, give them an identity so far unequaled anywhere, and by anyone before him.
What's more, most of the non-Muslim Western world would love him to succeed as well, and will do all within their power, including giving him their investments, their time and expertise, as well as provide him with their best and brightest personnel to make sure that he succeeds.
Because, if he does succeed, then everyone will succeed, and Saudi Arabia may then be the country of the future, something none of us have ever envisioned could be a possibility.
And finally we may enjoy the peace so many of us who are weary of the violence of Islam have been waiting for, and all within our lifetime.
But what will MBS replace the Hadith and Wahhabism with; what about his solution...the Qur'an?
Is that a viable solution, since so much of it is even more violent and more misogynistic than the Islamic Traditions he's turning his back on?
That's the other 'million dollar question' he has not even begun to entertain.
So, where do you think this will end up, and who do you support...?
