This Is Why Worship Leaders Feel Spiritually Empty

A congregation can survive weak vocals.
A congregation can survive imperfect musicianship.
A congregation can survive a bad mix.
But a congregation slowly starves under spiritually disconnected leadership.
Not because worship leaders are evil.
Not because they do not love God.
But because ministry has a way of rewarding visibility while neglecting intimacy.
And the frightening part is this:
You can become skilled enough to hide your dryness from people while still feeling completely empty before God.
Many worship leaders know how to build moments.
Few still know how to build altars.
We have trained people how to hold microphones before we taught them how to carry presence.
And now we are watching gifted people lead rooms they no longer have grace to sustain privately.
Some of you do not need another conference.
You do not need another pad sound.
You do not need another sermon on excellence.
You need to close the door again.
You need prayer again.
You need scripture again.
You need silence again.
You need God again.
Not for content.
Not for ministry.
Not for another setlist.
For you.
Because eventually what is missing in private always leaks into public.
Be honest.
What has distracted worship leaders the most from the altar in this generation?
