10 Years of Trace Church | The Mission Hasn’t Changed

Ten years ago, Trace Church started with a vision, a handful of people, and a willingness to say yes. From the beginning, the mission has been to help people encounter Jesus, reach those who feel far from God, create a place where people can come as they are, and leave traces of God’s love everywhere we go. Over the last decade, Trace Church has grown from a living room to a church community reaching thousands of people in Colorado Springs. We’ve watched lives change, families restored, people find hope, prodigals return home, and countless stories rewritten by Jesus. But the mission hasn’t changed. As Pastor Aaron Pennington has said throughout the years, there is no new vision. We want to continue removing obstacles, increasing opportunities for people to encounter Jesus, embracing those who are far from God, and creating a place where prodigals can safely come home. Every number has a name. Every name has a story. Every story matters to God. As Trace Church celebrates 10 years, we’re also looking toward what God is doing next through the Return discipleship initiative and our future home. This isn’t simply about building a bigger building. It’s about making more room for ministry, community, the next generation, and people who have yet to encounter Jesus. The last 10 years were built by people willing to say yes to what God required of them. Now it’s our turn.
