The Shroud of Turin continues to raise fascinating questions about the resurrection of Jesus. If Jesus truly rose from the dead, it's reasonable to ask whether something extraordinary could have happened to the burial cloth described in the Gospels. That question has motivated decades of scientific research into the Shroud of Turin. This idea is not scientific proof that the Shroud is authentic. Nor does it demonstrate how the image on the cloth was formed. But it does raise an interesting question: if the central claim of Christianity is that Jesus was raised in glory, should we be surprised if researchers continue investigating whether the burial cloth bears unusual characteristics?
