In our series The Songs of Christmas, Pastor Aaron taught through the meaning behind “O Come All Ye Faithful” and reminded us that this hymn is more than a nostalgic Christmas song. It is a calling for the people of God to come back to the heart of Christmas and adore Jesus for who he is. During worship we sang “O Come All Ye Faithful (His Name Shall Be)” by Passion, celebrating the birth of Christ and the hope we have because the Word became flesh and came to rescue us.
This moment captures our church lifting up the name of Jesus and declaring that he is worthy of all adoration. As Pastor Aaron shared today, we do not adore him because we have it all together. We adore him because he does, and because he stepped into our world to save us, understand our pain, and offer rest for weary souls.
