How does society determine what is truly good?
This is one of the biggest problems atheism has to answer.
If morality does not come from something higher than human opinion, then morality eventually becomes whatever the majority says, whatever the culture accepts, or whatever those in power can enforce.
But history shows us that societies can be deeply wrong.
Slavery was once accepted. Murder has been justified. Corruption has been celebrated. So if morality is only based on people, votes, feelings, or culture, then how can we say any society was objectively wrong?
Christianity gives a much stronger foundation.
Morality comes from God because God created us. He knows what is good, what is evil, and what human beings were made for.
