We discuss the often-overlooked distinction between a worship leader's singing voice and their leading voice. We explore how your leading voice, the presence and energy you bring to a room, is just as important, if not more so, than technical vocal ability. We share examples of worship leaders with average singing voices who moved rooms through powerful leadership presence, and exceptional singers who failed to connect because they never developed their leading voice. We explain that singing well and leading well are two different skills, and if your congregation isn't responding as expected, the issue likely isn't your vocal range but your ability to truly lead.
