In this Sunday Live, I open up about burnout, overwork, chronic health struggles, and why so many of us are secretly exhausted while trying to serve God. Using Philippians 2 and the story of Epaphroditus, I walk through a biblical picture of burnout, illness, and God’s mercy that doesn’t shame you for crashing, but actually invites you into rest, recovery, and a new way of doing life with God. We talk honestly about performance-based Christianity, “spend and be spent,” and the lie that God is more pleased with you when you ignore your body, your emotions, and your limits. Along the way, we also step into the trenches of mental health: OCD, scrupulosity, intrusive “unaliving” thoughts, anxiety, depression, perimenopause, chronic illness, and the guilt that tries to attach to all of it. I share why so many of us were never taught how to rest, how to manage our emotions, or how to walk in a journey mindset instead of chasing quick fixes. I address a question about someone who feels they have a wrong relationship with AI and I give some insights to bring healthy perspectives. We look at how God’s Father’s love, grace, and mercy actually meet us in our weakest moments—not to condemn us, but to lead us beside still waters and into a healthier rhythm of life, relationships, and faith. If you’re burned out, spinning in obsessive fears, feeling like you’re failing God, or just longing for a tribe you can recover with, not perform for, this broadcast is for you. Join me and Melissa as we celebrate 20 years of marriage, share some real-life struggles, and invite you into a practical, biblical, and compassionate path of healing and freedom in Christ. ❓Submit a Question: https://markdejesus.com/questions/ 📘Get The OCD Healing Journey Book Today: https://markdejesus.com/the-ocd-healing-journey-book/ ➡️Get a FREE eBook on the Father’s Love: https://bit.ly/3fGu6t3 ▶️Mark's resource library: https://markdejesus.com/topics/ 👉Support future videos: https://markdejesus.com/donate/ 🌎Join the Healing and Freedom Community: https://markdejesus.com/community 📚Mark's books: https://markdejesus.com/books-by-mark-dejesus/ Music Provided by Epidemic Sound: https://share.epidemicsound.com/73m02k and Audiio: https://ref.audiio.com/3c99d6zk Mark's Podcast and Video Equipment: https://markdejesus.com/equipment/ Disclaimer: The content published is for informational purposes.
