The Women Run to Tell the Disciples – Jesus Meets Them on the Way!

After discovering the empty tomb, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary run fearfully yet overjoyed to tell the disciples the good news. Suddenly, the risen Jesus meets them on the way and greets them. They fall at His feet, embrace them, and worship Him. Jesus calms their fear and gives them their first mission: “Do not be afraid. Go tell my brothers to go to Galilee, and there they will see me.” Meanwhile, some of the guards report what happened to the chief priests. The priests assemble with the elders, bribe the soldiers with a large sum of money, and instruct them to spread the lie: “His disciples came by night and stole him while we were asleep.” The soldiers take the money and do as they are told — and this false story has circulated among the Jews to this very day.
