“They Wanted to Take Him Into the Boat” – Jesus’ Second Great Sign

When it was evening, the disciples went down to the sea, got into a boat, and started across to Capernaum. It had grown dark, Jesus had not yet come to them, and a strong wind stirred up the sea. After rowing about three or four miles, they saw Jesus walking on the sea and coming near the boat. They were terrified. But Jesus said to them, “It is I. Do not be afraid.” They wanted to take Him into the boat, but immediately the boat reached the shore to which they were heading. This powerful miracle from John 6:16-21 shows Jesus’ complete authority over nature, His calming presence in the storm, and His desire to be with His disciples even in the darkest moments. 🙏 A beautiful reminder that when we are struggling in life’s storms, Jesus comes to us saying, “It is I.
