“Lazarus, Come Out!” – Jesus Raises His Friend from the Dead 😱

A man named Lazarus from Bethany was ill. His sisters, Mary and Martha, sent word to Jesus: “Master, the one you love is ill.” Jesus delayed two days, then told His disciples, “Our friend Lazarus is asleep, but I am going to awaken him.” When they misunderstood, He said plainly, “Lazarus has died… Let us go to him.” When Jesus arrived, Lazarus had already been in the tomb for four days. Martha met Him and said, “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.” Jesus replied, “Your brother will rise… I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, even if he dies, will live.” Mary also fell at His feet weeping. Seeing their grief and the mourning Jews, **Jesus wept**. At the tomb — a cave with a stone across it — Jesus said, “Take away the stone.” Despite Martha’s warning about the stench, Jesus prayed and cried out in a loud voice: **“Lazarus, come out!”** The dead man came out, tied hand and foot with burial bands. Jesus said, “Untie him and let him go.” Many of the Jews who saw this miracle began to believe in Jesus.
