Your testimony matters. Your encounter matters. Stop hiding behind others. 10th March.

It’s safer to sing someone else’s revelation. If you lead a Bethel song and it flops, that’s on Bethel. If you write something from your own encounter with God and it lands flat, that’s on you. So we hide behind other people’s encounters. We become really skilled at performing other people’s revelations because it protects us from the vulnerability of sharing our own. But Revelation 1:19 demands something different. Write what you have seen, what is now, and what will take place later. Not what someone else saw. What YOU have seen. And that requires time in the secret place where no one is watching. Encounters with God that aren’t for social media. Intimacy that produces fresh words, fresh melodies, fresh revelation that didn’t come from a Spotify playlist. The church doesn’t need another worship leader who can replicate Maverick City. We’ve got thousands of those. What we’re starving for are prophets. Seers. People who’ve actually encountered Jesus and have come back with something fresh to say about it. Your testimony matters. Your encounter matters. What God has shown YOU matters. But you’ll never write it down if you never see it. And you’ll never see it if you’re too busy learning everyone else’s songs to get your own.
