Here's a question for anyone who thinks Christianity was invented. Why would the first Christians invent a religion that promised suffering instead of comfort? Jesus didn't promise His followers an easy life. He warned them that they would face persecution, hardship, and suffering. History shows that's exactly what happened. Yet Christianity also makes another remarkable claim. God does not abandon His people in suffering. Peter told people to repent and be baptized, and they would receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Paul later wrote that the very Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead now lives in believers, transforming their lives from the inside out. That raises another question: Why has Christianity transformed millions of lives across every culture and every century?
