Christian history is full of weird and wonderful stories, but it also has its fair share of division, violence, and controversy. How do we make sense of it all? Then there’s theology—the big questions of faith that can feel overwhelming. At ChristianStory, we believe history and theology don’t have to be barriers to faith—they can deepen it. Christianity is a centuries-long story of people wrestling with what it means to follow Jesus. We want to bring that story to life. ___ Who are we? We’re a team of theologians, historians, and animators based in Oxford, UK, and Biel/Bienne, Switzerland. Our research is rooted in an international academic community, and our creative team brings it to life from the Alps. We also work with advisors from across Christian traditions — Catholic, Orthodox, Protestant, and others — to ensure depth and accuracy. ___ Our Approach History: We explore how real Christians lived, worshipped, and expressed their faith across time and cultures. Theology: We embrace a Generous Orthodoxy. Using the Council of Nicaea (325 AD) as our criteria, we want to unpack theological diversity without oversimplifying it. Jesus at the centre: Amidst all the complexity, one thing unites Christians—the figure of Jesus Christ. In all the messiness of history and theological debates, Christians have always been trying to make sense of who Jesus is, what he taught, and how he shapes the way they live.
