Andrew Brings a Boy to Jesus – The Small Gift That Changed Everything

Jesus crossed the Sea of Galilee, and a large crowd followed Him because they saw the signs He was performing on the sick. Seeing the multitude, Jesus asked Philip, “Where can we buy enough food for them to eat?” He said this to test him. Philip answered that even 200 days’ wages wouldn’t be enough. Then Andrew brought a boy who had five barley loaves and two fish. Jesus had the people recline on the grass (about 5,000 men). He took the loaves, gave thanks, and distributed them along with the fish. Everyone ate and was satisfied. Afterward, Jesus told the disciples to gather the fragments so nothing would be wasted — and they filled twelve wicker baskets with the leftovers. When the people saw this sign, they said, “This is truly the Prophet, the one who is to come into the world.” Knowing they wanted to make Him king by force, Jesus withdrew again to the mountain alone.
