What does it mean that marriage won't exist in heaven? Will your spouse be a stranger? Why do we love the law but struggle with the gospel? And what does it mean that Jesus is both David's son AND David's Lord?
These are just some of the questions addressed in today's Lenten reading as the Sadducees try to trap Jesus with trick questions about marriage in the resurrection and the law.
Here's the truth: The law promises control in a chaotic world, but the gospel offers something better — grace we can't earn or control.
