Something I noticed on the hill this week: my body learned the route in two days. Same turn, same bench, same point where my legs stop arguing. Two days, and a new track had already formed. So the track was never the problem. Track-building is how I’m built. The question is who lays the track.
A cue you didn’t choose will run your life beautifully until the day the cue disappears. Most worship leaders never find out what they built on until a season removes the room, the team, or the routine carrying them.
Try this. Write down what you’d still do this week if nobody scheduled you, nobody watched, and nothing reminded you. Whatever survives the list is yours. Everything else was borrowed from your calendar.
