We walk through Heiser’s strongest contributions: reading Scripture in its ancient Near Eastern frame of reference, holding a wise balance between charismatic experience and biblical moorings, seeing Eden/Temple/mountain imagery, recognizing hints of the Trinity and the Angel of Yahweh, and exploring nuanced takes on free will, atonement, “giants,” cosmic geography, and Jesus’ Son of Man / rider on the clouds identity. You’ll also hear why “the gates of hell” are defensive (not offensive!), how the OT’s messianic hope is hidden in plain sight and revealed in Jesus, what baptism and adoption mean for the seed of Abraham, and why popular readings of Gog/Magog deserve a careful re-look.
