Six Day Creation: Seven Reasons Why I Hold a Young Earth View

I am going to argue for the view that God actually did create the world in a space of six literal days. We will consider other views as well, namely the old-earth view, the gap view, and the literary framework view. Each of these views does have something to commend it. But I believe that the Six Day view is actually the best and most sound view overall. Here I will offer seven reasons why this is so. Reasons: The reasons that I hold this view are: 1) The appearance of age in a state of maturity 2) The plain reading of the text 3) Details in the text itself including its genre 4) The Ten Commandments 4) Corroborating texts elsewhere in Scripture 5) The Reformed Confessions which I hold (WCF 4.1) 6) Metaphysics - God's creation of the so-called "Laws of physics" 7) The overall power of God.
