God Feels Close But Ministry Feels Hollow And There Is A Reason For That

God feels close. Ministry feels hollow. And nobody around you knows what to do with that combination.
So they give you what they have. Press in more. Fast more. Get back to basics. Remember your calling. And you try all of it and nothing shifts. And now you are carrying the original weight plus the guilt of feeling like your faith is not working.
But what if it is not a faith problem. What if the things that used to work are not working because you have outgrown them. What if the appetite for the platform going quiet is not a warning sign but a formation sign. What if your interior life is simply asking for attention it has never been given and does not know how to ask for it any other way.
The people around you are measuring your spiritual health by your output. How Sunday went. Whether the congregation responded. And somewhere along the way you started using the same measure on yourself.
Your worth is not your last set. And what you are in right now is not a dry season. It is a season the church does not yet have language for.
