The Bible Doesn’t Say to Find Your Purpose

“What’s my purpose?” It’s the question we’re all told to ask — in church, online, and in our quiet moments of doubt. But what if that’s the wrong question? In this video, I share a truth that challenges one of the biggest lies in Christian culture today: You don’t find your purpose — you follow Jesus. Our culture has made purpose all about us: our dreams, our talents, our unique design. But Jesus never called people to self-discovery. He called them to surrender. And when the disciples followed Him, purpose followed that. What You’ll Hear in This Video: 1. Stop chasing clarity — start walking in obedience Jesus didn’t give the disciples a plan. He gave them an invitation: “Follow Me.” Purpose isn’t a roadmap. It’s a Person. 2. It’s not about what you do — it’s about who you’re becoming We treat purpose like it’s a spotlight. But Psalm 119:105 says God’s Word is a lamp to our feet — just enough for the next step. 3. You’re not the main character — Jesus is This might be the most freeing truth of all: your purpose isn’t about you. It’s about Christ being glorified through you. If you’ve been burned out trying to figure out what you’re “meant” to do… If you’ve been asking God for signs and getting silence… This might be the shift you need. Maybe your purpose today isn’t a big move — maybe it’s picking up the phone to forgive someone. Maybe it’s finishing something you’ve put off. Maybe it’s just opening your Bible and listening again. Whatever it is — start walking with Jesus. That’s where purpose begins.
